i.LINK digital input
Also known as IEEE 1394 and FireWire, i.Link carries all
audio and video signals via a single cable digitally, with no
loss in picture and sound quality. With i.Link digital video
input, you can copy your home videos in their original
digital picture quality.
Multi-format playability (DivX)
Multi-format playability allows you to play most file
formats, including MP3, WMA, JPEG and the popular
DivX digital media format, for maximum listening and
viewing pleasure. DivX playback enables you to play and
share compressed high-quality DivX video content
beyond your computer.
Dual Media
Philips DVD Recorders support 'dual media' recording —
the ability to create recordings on DVD+R/RW and DVD-
R/RW discs. Now you can buy any disc and the Philips
recorder will always create fully compatible recordings
that can be played by any DVD player.
One Touch Pause Live TV
Pause Live TV puts you in absolute control. Once the
recorder is turned on, a large built-in memory
automatically starts recording the programme you are
watching -- allowing you to pause, replay or save the
programme, any time. If you need to take a break, you
can pause your 'live' TV programme with just one touch
of a button, and resume watching when it suits you.
Instant Replay
With Instant Replay, you can relive magic movie
moments and super sports scenes - any time you want.
At the touch of a button, the hard disk will replay the last
30 seconds. Skipping further backwards requires nothing
more than pressing the button again.
VIDEO Plus+
With the VIDEO Plus+ system, all you need to do to
program your video recorder is to enter the "Pluscode" –
a single code of up to nine digits (but usually less) that is
printed next to each TV programme in most TV guides.
