Dual Media

Philips DVD Recorders support ‘dual media’ recording -

the ability to create recordings on DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/

RW and DVD+R DL discs. Now you can buy any disc

and the Philips recorder will always create fully

compatible recordings, which can be played by any DVD

player.

Guide Plus+ on-screen TV guide

GUIDE Plus+ is an Electronic Program Guide – a free

on screen TV Guide that shows what’s on TV for the

next couple of days and lets you program the timer of

the DVD Recorder with the push of a button.

Pause live TV

A very large built-in memory records the program you

are currently watching when you press the pause

button. When it suits you, you can resume the program

from the moment you pressed 'pause' as if you're

watching a live program.

Instant replay

With Instant Replay you are in control of exciting TV

moments so you can enjoy a precious TV moment like

a scene in a movie or football match again immediately,

at the press of a button. The Hard Disk can play back

any scene while continuing to record TV program.

Flex Time

With FlexTime you can watch a program while it’s still

being recorded, thanks to the extreme speed of a Hard

Disk.

Digital TV Tuner (DVB-T)

The DVD recorder's integrated DVB-T tuner lets you

receive Digital Terrestrial TV to watch or record. The

video signal is kept digital without any analogue steps

inbetween, to preserve the high picture quality.

i.LINK digital input

Also known as IEEE 1394 and FireWire. i.LINK is the

worldwide standard for connecting digital video devices,

used on digital home video equipment such as DV and

D8 camcorders, as well as PCs. Conveniently, it carries

all audio and video signals via a single cable. With i.LINK

Digital Video input you can copy your home videos in

their original digital picture quality.

5.1 channel audio recording

Digital 5.1 channel audio recording lets you capture –

along with the video – the original sound from digital

multi-channel sources such as satellite receivers so that

you can store it on DVD. These recordings can then be

played back in multi-channel only on your Philips

Recorder or in Stereo on any DVD player.
