USING THIS FEATURES OF YOUR
SKIP 800 TELEPHONE
Setting the Dialing Mode
Mixed mode dialing
If your telephone is set to or using the Pulse mode, pressing the [
]
button will temporarily convert your telephone to the tone mode, the
telephone will automatically reset back to Pulse mode when the call is
terminated.
Setting the Ringer
To switch off the ringer
Note that during power failure, the telephone will ring even if set to
ringer-off mode. But after power-up,
mode will be restored.
Storing telephone numbers in the 5 memory storage
locations
note : Insert a pause wherever necessary by pressing
. A pause lasts for 2.5
seconds. If you need a longer pause, press
as many times as you wish.
The pause duration will accumulate according to the number of times
is pressed.
: A telephone number may not consists of more than 24 digits including
pauses, otherwise, it cannot be stored under one memory location.

The Last Number Redial feature
The last number dialed will be stored automatically and can be redialed with
the touch of the redial button.
To redial the number
note : The telephone number can only be redialed if:
• it consists of not more than 32 digits.
•
is the first button pressed after you take the line. If other buttons
are pressed first, the previous telephone number will be replaced.
The Call Timer Feature (for reference only)
• When receiving an incoming call, conversation time will start
automatically.
• When making a call, the conversation time will start counting 10
seconds after the telephone number is entered.

and the conversation time will be shown on the display.
• Terminating the call will stop the call timer automatically.
– The total conversation time will remain displayed for 5 seconds.

Number (REN) for this equipment. If Requested, this information must be given to the Telephone

and still have all of those device ring when your telephone number is called. In most, but not all
areas, the sum of the REN’s of all devices connected to one line should not exceed five (5.0). To
be certain of the number of devices you may connect to your line, as determined by the REN, you
should contact your local telephone company to determine the maximum REN for your calling area.
If your equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may discontinue your service temporarily. If
possible, they will notify you in advance. But if advance notice isn’t practical, you will be notified as soon as possible. You will be
informed of your right to file a complaint with the FCC. Your telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment,
operations or procedures that could affect the proper functioning of your equipment. If they do, you will be notified in advance to
give you an opportunity to maintain uninterrupted telephone service.

During power failure, you must first lift the handset, in order to operate all setting above.
SAFETY PRECAUTION
• Make sure the power plug is near the telephone, as the only
way to disconnect the telephone from the power mains is
by unplugging the power adaptor.
• Connection to the electric mains: 110 volts, monophase
alternating current, with the exception of installation with
IT diagram described in standard EN 60-950. Please not!
The mains voltage falls under the category of “very hight
voltage” according to the criteria of standard EN 41-003.
• Connection to the telephone network: the voltage in this

Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing a Philips Consumer Communications product. We hope that it makes your life easier.
Philips Consumer Communications warrants to the original retail purchaser that the SKIP800, and all accessories
provided by Philips in the sales of this product are free from defects in material and workmanship, under normral
installation and use, according to the following terms and conditions:
1. This limited warranty extends only to the "Consumer" for products purchased and used in the USA.
2. The limited warranty for the "Product" extends for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase of the "Product" by the
"Consumer".
3. During the applicable limited warranty period, "Philips" appointed service network will repair, or replace, at
"Philips" option, any defective parts or "Product", with new or refurbished replacement items, and return the
"Product" to the "Customer" in working condition. No charge will be made for either parts or labor in
repairing equipment. Repaired or replacement "Product" is warranted for the balance of the warranty period.
4. The "Consumer" must provide information to reasonably prove the date of purchase upon request, so please retain your
sales receipt.
5. Transportation, delivery, and handling charges incurred in the transport of "Products" to and from the service
location are to be paid by the "Customer".
6. ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE LIMITED WARRANTIES MER-
CHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.
Some states do not allow disclaimers of implied warrants, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state.
7. Philips total liability for damages relating to or arising out of the use of the product, regardless of the type or
cause of such damage, shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the "product". In no event shall
"PCC" be liable for any indirect special, incidental, or consequential damages (including but not limited to lost
profits or revenue, inability to use the product or other associated equipment, cost of substitute equipment,
and any claims by other parties) resulting from the use of the product. Some states do not allow the exclusion
of limitation of incidental or consequential damages: therefore, the foregoing limitations may not apply to you.
8. This warranty does not cover: charges for installation or set up, adjustments of customer controls, and instal-
lation or repair of system outside the unit, the product repair and/or replacement because of misuse, shipping
damage, abuse, water damage accidental, unauthorized repair or other causes not within the control of "Philips"
and the - reception or operational problems caused by signal conditions, network reliability, or cable antenna
systems. Finally, the product purchased, used, serviced, or shipped from outside the USA, or used for com-
mercial or institutional purposes (including but not limited to product used for rental purposes).
