Taking a Picture
With the batteries installed and a memory card inserted, all you need to do is
turn on the camera, select Capture mode, and take a picture.
1 With the camera on, turn the Mode Dial
to Capture.
2 Center the subject in the viewfinder.
3 Press the Shutter button half-way to lock
the autofocus and exposure.
4 Check the ready light for camera status.

Glows Green—Camera is ready to take
the picture.
m
Blinks Green—Focus and exposure are
not locked, or flash is not charged. Release
the Shutter button and recompose the
picture.
m
Glows Red—There is a problem with the
camera, see page 49.
m
Blinks Red—Camera batteries are low,
replace the batteries; or there is a problem
with the memory card, see page 49.
