Before using your BRITA ® Water Filter
& Chiller
• Remove any packaging and promotional
material from the packaging.
• Remove the filter cartridge and keep in a
safe place.
• Remove the lid and filtering tank and wash
in warm soapy water, rinse and wipe dry.
• Wipe out the filtered water tank with a
damp cloth which has been soaked in
soapy water.
• Position the appliance on a dry, level and
secure bench top.
• Allow good airflow around the appliance.
• Do not place directly against a wall.
• Plug the appliance into a suitable power
outlet and switch on.
Preparing the BRITA Maxtra water filter
cartridge for use
• Remove the cartridge from its wrapping
(cartridge and inside wrapper may appear
moist, this is simply condensation).
• Immerse the cartridge in cold tap water and
agitate gently to remove any air bubbles.
