Unbalanced Connections
If your preampliÞ er has RCA out-
puts, it can be connected to the ampli-
Þ er inputs as shown. The ampliÞ er will
boost the preampliÞ er's output, up to a
level suitable for driving speakers.
This diagram also shows how the
Voltage Source outputs connect to
the input posts of your speakers. (The
Current Source outputs can be used
instead.)
The following pages show some typical con nec tions that you might make in your in stal la tion. They show how the inputs
and outputs of the Cinema Grand AmpliÞ er are con nected to your pream pli Þ er and speakers.
R = Right Channel
C = Center Channel,
L = Left Channel
RS = Right Surround (rear) Channel
LS = Left Surround (rear) Channel
Line-level audio signals
From: PreampliÞ er main RCA outputs
To: AmpliÞ er line-level inputs
Make sure that the positive
speaker wires do not touch
the negative speaker wires,
or any chassis metal. This
will cause a short circuit and may
damage your ampliÞ er or speakers.
