Setting presets through
manual tuning

Press TUNER/BAND repeatedly to
select “FM” or “AM”.

Press PLAY MODE/TUNING MODE
repeatedly until “AUTO” and “PRESET”
disappear.

When you use the remote in step 3, skip this
procedure.

Slide the knob to – or to + (or press
TUNING – or + on the remote)
repeatedly to tune in the desired
station.

Press TUNER MEMORY/DIRECTION (or
press TUNER MEMORY on the remote).

Slide the knob to – or to + (or press
PRESET – or + on the remote)
repeatedly to select the desired preset
number.

Press ENTER.

The station is stored.

Repeat steps 1 to 6 to store other
stations.

To change the AM tuning interval

(except for the European model)

The AM tuning interval is factory-set to 9 kHz
(10 kHz in some areas). To change the AM
tuning interval, tune in any AM station first,
then turn off the system. While holding
ENTER, turn the system back on. When you
change the interval, all the AM preset stations
are erased. To reset the interval, repeat the
same procedure.

Note

You cannot change the AM tuning interval in the
Power Saving Mode.

Tips

• The preset stations are retained for about a day even

if you disconnect the power cord or if a power
failure occurs.

• To improve broadcast reception, reorient or move

the supplied antennas near a window or outdoors.
