INSTALLING A PANEL INTO A SUMMIT FRAME (“FR” SUFFIX)

On any model that includes suffix “FR” in the model number, and on all models BI540, BI541,ALB651, ALB653B,
ALB751 and ALB753B) a two piece stainless steel frame is mounted on the door. The models can be used without a
panel, but to install a panel follow the directions below. (Panel size is 23 1/8” W x 28 1/8” H)
1. Carefully lay the refrigerator (it must be empty) on its back.
2. Unscrew the small piece of frame from the bottom. For a thin metal panel use a backing piece of cardboard
3. Slide panel into frame and replace the bottom frame and reattach the screws.

Before calling for assistance or service, please check “Troubleshooting.” It may save you the cost of a service call. If
you still need help, follow the instructions below.
When calling, please know the purchase date and the complete model and serial number of your appliance. This in-
formation will help us to better respond to your request.
If You Need Replacement Parts
If you need to order replacement parts, we recommend that you only use factory specified parts. Factory specified
parts will fit right and work right, because they are made with the same precision used to build every new SUMMIT®
appliance.
• Check the plug, fuse and/or circuit breaker.
• Test the outlet with a lamp
• Make certain that the outlet used is not controlled by a wall switch. This is more common in outdoor kitchens.
• Be sure the control is not set to 0 (OFF).
• On outdoor units, check that the GFCI switch on the line cord is on. If necessary press the reset button.
• Read the manual, especially the items under troubleshooting. You may find the answer to your question.
If you don’t find the answer to your question in this manual, find the unit model number (on the serial tag) and try our
website (www.summitappliance.com) under service and support, or contact our Customer Service department.
