SERVICING THE SPARK PLUG
1. Remove engine key from switch.
2. Remove the oil access cover.
3. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug.
4. Inspect the spark plug and clean. If necessary,
replace it with a new spark plug as recommended in
the engine Owner’s Manual.
5. Adjust the gap on the spark plug to .030 inches
(.762 mm) using a gauge.
6. Reinstall the plug and tighten firmly, torque to 18-23
ft-lbs (24.4-31.2 Nm).
7. Reconnect spark plug wire.
8. Reinstall engine cover. Figure 16. Servicing Spark Plug
