Remote Control Configuration for AV devices
To eliminate the amount of remote controls you need, this remote control will operate the main functions of
some Sony’s DAV, Sony’s AV receivers as well as Sony’s STB (see the table on the following page with the
available devices).
To operate these devices with this remote needs to be configured
To do this:
• Before you start, look up the 3 digit code of your device from the list on the following page.
• Sony will endeavour to update the software according to market changes. Therefore, please
refer to the code table included with the remote control for latest code set.
• A small label is added inside the battery door to allow you to record your brand codes.

Press and hold the
t
button of the remote control for
approximately 6 seconds until the green AUX light of the Media
Selector starts flashing (see fig. 1).

While the AUX light is flashing, enter the 3 digit code for your
device
(see the list on the following page) using the number buttons on
the remote control (see fig. 2).
If your selected code is entered correctly, the green AUX
light will be lit momentarily (see fig.3), otherwise repeat all
the above steps.

Turn on your device and check that the main functions work (see the
table on the following page to check the main functions according to each
equipment)
• If your device is not working or some of the functions do not work please check that you
entered the correct code.

Always remember to press the
T
or
t
button until the green light iluminates according to
the equipment you want to operate with this remote control: TV or AUX. Refer to page 24 for
how to operate the VCR and DVD modes.
