Thedometweeterssuppliedwithyour
C5-570systemhavebeendesignedformaximum
mountingversatility.Therearetwoprimary
methodsbywhichthetweeterscanbemountedin
yourvehicle:
Flush-mount:Fortweeterintegrationinaclean,
unobtrusivemanner,youwillusethesupplied
flush-mountcups.Thiscompactmountingfixture
isinstalledusingthemethodillustratedinDiagram
Eandrequiresamountingholewithadiameterof
1.50in.(38.1mm).
Atleast3/4-inch(19mm)ofclearanceisrequired
behindthemountingsurfaceofthetweeterforthe
springclipsand1.18-inchmachinescrewsusedin
mountingthefixture.Itmaybenecessaryinsome
limiteddepthapplicationstocutdownthelength
ofthemachinescrew,ortouseashorterscrew(not
supplied).Hand-tightenthemachinescrewuntilthe
fixtureissecure.
surface-mount:Inthisapplication,youwillnot
needtocutlargeholesinyourvehicle’spanelsfor
thetweeters.Youwillonlyneedtodrillaholefor
thewiresandtwosmallerholesforthemounting
screws.Thisapplicationisusefulwhenmounting
thetweeterstoapanelthathasinsufficientclearance
behinditforthetweeter’smagnetstructure.
Usingthefixtureasatemplate,markthescrew
holelocationsandalocationinthecenterofthe
fixtureforthewirehole.Removethefixtureanddrill
pilotholesforthescrewsanda1/8-inch(3mm)for
thewires.Usethesupplied#6x1-inchsheetmetal
screwstosecurethefixtureasshowninDiagramF
(hand-tighten).Runthetweeter’swiresthroughthe
holeandinsertthetweeteruntilitsnapsintoplace.
