PLUMBING AND WATER SUPPLY
A drain/overflow assembly (sold separately) must be installed on
the bath, water tested, and connected to the sanitary system of
the house.
NOTE: Jacuzzi ® Whirlpool Bath recommends using the Jacuzzi ®
Rotary Drain, PN 8730.
After opening the carton, inspect for damage and verify that the kit
is of the proper finish. In the Jacuzzi® Whirlpool Bath drain/over-
flow kit, note that the waste flange, strainer, overflow cover, and
cover screws are packaged separately to protect the trim finish.
Drain Installation
The installation instructions provided below are for the
recommended Rotary Drain, PN 8730. For installation of an
alternate drain, refer to the manufacturer instructions.
1. Cut pipe Section A to 7.5 inches using Figure 4 as a guide.
Measure from the middle of the drain opening to the end of
pipe Section A.
2. Cut pipe Section B to 14.50 inches following Figure 4.
Measure from the middle of the overflow opening to the end
of pipe Section B.
3. Check dimensions A and B by dry-mounting the tub prior to
installation as follows.
a. Cover a level surface with a soft protective covering.
b. Place the tub upside-down on the protective covering.
c. Assemble the drain by attaching pipe Sections A and B
to the Tee, as illustrated in Figure 5.
d. Insert gaskets into both the drain and overflow elbows,
flat-side down.
e. Mount the drain assembly onto the tub and confirm the
fit.
f. Once the fit is confirmed, tighten attachments firmly.
