SERIES AMPLIFIER LINE
includes dedicated Class D subwoofer amplifiers
and full-range amplifiers that have been engineered
to deliver low distortion and optimum system tuning
ability. The line consists of three subwoofer amps,
three full-range amps and a five-channel amp
designed to drive an entire system.
Each model includes a 12dB-per-octave variable
electronic crossover, with the subwoofer amplifiers
offering the JBL Dynamic Bass Optimization Circuit
and an included remote bass-level control that allows
the bass output to be independently adjusted.
In addition, all models except the GTO5355 feature
full-range preamp outputs to facilitate easy system-
building and wiring architecture.
DYNAMIC BASS OPTIMIZATION
CIRCUIT (DBO)
This provides variable high-pass filtering with
adjustable “Q” below 100Hz (far beyond conventional
bass circuits) by allowing the low-frequency output
to be optimized for specific subwoofer applications.
Frequencies below an enclosure’s tuned frequency
can be attenuated, preventing damage to the
subwoofer and allowing the amplifier’s power
to be better utilized.
DIRECT CONNECT
This feature allows the use of up to 4-gauge power
and ground cable to ensure enough juice is being
delivered. This feature is also used to make the
speaker connection to the amplifier, eliminating the
need for adapters or special fittings.
FULL-RANGE PREAMP OUTPUTS
In the event that multiple amplifiers are used in an
application, this feature allows for streamlined
system hookup – no high-loss Y-adapters or splitters
are needed.
COMMON-DIMENSION
AMPLIFIER FOOTPRINTS
By designing the GTO Series amplifiers
with two common dimensions, the amount
of space occupied in multiple-amplifier
mounting applications can be optimized.
