The 400-watt TSS-4000

powered subwoofer features

a 12" MMD driver and

Infinity’s remarkable Room

Adaptive Bass Optimization

System

(R.A.B.O.S.

), which

precisely tunes bass output to

the acoustic characteristics

of any room.

As the quality of low bass is

determined as much by the

room as it is by the loudspeaker

system, R.A.B.O.S. takes the

all-important low frequencies

to new depths.

Due to their long wavelengths,

low-frequency sounds reflect

back and forth in a room,

alternately reinforcing and

subtracting selective

frequencies. These room

resonances can create

exaggerated “boomy” bass

and/or diminished bass

output, depending upon

the listening position.

The TSS-4000 subwoofer system

uses a refreshingly simple and

effective approach to achieving

smooth bass response. In effect,

it’s optimized it to the listening

room once it’s in place.The

TSS-SUB4000 will sound better

in more typical listening room

configurations than any other

subwoofer in its class.

The solid, extruded-aluminum

enclosures of TSS-4000

satellites and center channel

speakers are more than just

a design statement; they’re

a performance enhancement.

Highly rigid, they reduce

unwanted resonances even

at high listening levels.

TSS-4000 drivers use Infinity’s

proprietary MMD

®

cones

throughout. Derived directly

from Prelude MTS technology,

the drivers are arrayed in a

unique three-way design to

maximize both frequency

response and power handling.

Infinity’s high-frequency

waveguides deliver more

accurate sound across a

larger listening area.

Stiffer, lighter, stronger.
The MMD cone is superior
to other commonly used
materials in virtually
every performance
characteristic.

MMD cones. They conduct
sound faster than paper,
polypropylene and Kevlar,

®

pushing unwanted
resonances beyond
the operating range
of the transducer.

Highly evolved.
MMD cones are derived
from the same technology
used in Infinity’s flagship
Prelude MTS.

Infinity’s TSS-4000 system

didn’t begin with a clean sheet

of paper. It began with the

groundbreaking technologies,

materials and manufacturing

techniques of Prelude

®

MTS,

Infinity’s critically acclaimed

flagship system. For more than

35 years, Infinity has built on

the innovations of its landmark

loudspeaker systems to set

new, ever-higher standards of

performance, simplicity and

design. With TSS-4000,

Infinity’s engineers continue

the tradition, creating a total

home entertainment system of

exquisite performance and

uncommon beauty.

Four woofers at the top and

added bass impact, even from

modestly powered amplifiers.
