The Motorola VIP1216 is a superior, high defi nition IP set-top with a built-in hard disk drive for DVR
functionality. The VIP1216 also supports standard-defi nition high-quality digital video. Its two-way IP
capability allows it to be used in multiple applications, including broadcast TV, time-shifted TV, multicast
and VoD and is fully compliant with Microsoft
® IPTVe. The VIP1216 includes a high-end system-on-chip
processor and enhanced graphics to decode HD and SD digital TV, as well as output high-quality surround
sound audio.
