WARNING: If the vehicle slips off the jack, you or someone
else could be seriously injured.
1. Park on a level surface, activate
hazard flashers and place
gearshift lever in P (Park)
(automatic transmission) or R
(Reverse) (manual
transmission).
2. Set the parking brake and turn
engine off.
3. Block the diagonally opposite
wheel.
Removing the jack and tools
The jack and tools are located in the
right rear of the cargo area behind
an access panel. To remove the jack
from the vehicle:
1. Release the thumbscrew on the
bracket.
2. Release the retention clip on
the upper part of the jack
bracket.
3. Dislodge the jack from the
bracket and carefully guide jack down and out through trim opening,
upper end out first.
