INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new oven, please read through these
instructions carefully before using it for the first time. Take particular note of
the safety precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions
for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of
your oven at a later date.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•
The oven may only be used for its original purpose, i.e. for preparing
food for domestic purposes.
•
The oven is for indoor use only.
•
The oven will become very hot during use. Touch the oven handle and
controls only. Take care to use oven gloves, a potholder or the
accompanying handle when removing food from the oven or putting
food into a hot oven.
•
Use only accompanying accessories or those recommended by the
manufacturer.
•
Do not use the oven compartment for storing anything other than the
accompanying accessories.
•
The oven, cord or plug must not be placed in water or allowed to get
wet.
•
Do not use the oven if the cord or plug is damaged, if it is not
functioning properly, or if it has been damaged by a heavy impact or
similar.
•
Do not use the oven if there are cleaning agent residues inside it.
•
Make sure you do not scratch the glass in the oven door. Do not rest
items on the oven door when it is open.
•
Keep an eye on any children in the vicinity of the oven when it is in
use.
•
Remove the plug from the socket when cleaning, or when not in use.
•
Never try to repair it yourself.
•
If the oven, cord or plug needs to be repaired, it should be taken to an
authorised service centre. If the oven is subjected to unauthorised
repairs, the guarantee will become void. Please contact the store
where you bought the device for repairs under guarantee.
Positioning the oven
•
The oven should be placed on a flat surface, with clearance of at least
10 cm from the sides of the oven (including rear and top) to ensure
sufficient ventilation. This oven is not suitable for integral installation,
and you must check that the vent holes on the right side and the top
of the cabinet are not covered. If these are covered while the oven is
in use, there is a risk of it overheating.
•
Do not place the oven next to sources of heat, for example, gas rings
and electric hotplates. Place the oven at a safe distance from
inflammable materials such as curtains.
•
Do not place objects on top of the oven.
•
The oven should not be placed on untreated wood surfaces, as it may
damage them.
•
Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table/counter, and
keep it away from hot objects and naked flames.
Fire hazard!
To reduce the risk of fire occurring in the oven compartment, please note
the following points:
•
Do not cover the crumb tray or other parts of the oven compartment
with aluminium foil. This can cause the oven to overheat.
•
Do not cook food for too long or at too high a temperature, and do not
leave the oven unattended if it is hot, and baking parchment or other
flammable materials have been used in the oven.
•
If materials in the oven catch fire, leave the door closed. Switch the
oven off immediately, and remove the plug from the wall socket.
