The coffee or espresso is not hot enough.
The cup has not been
pre-heated. ^ Pre-heat the cups (see "Pre-heating cups").
The brewing temperature is set
too low. ^ Set a higher brew temperature (see "Brewing
temperature").
The brew unit filters are
blocked. ^ Clean the brew unit.
^ Clean/degrease the brew unit.

The crema on the coffee or espresso is "not right".
The grinder is not set correctly. ^ Set the grinder to a coarser or finer setting

The brew temperature is too

The coffee beans are no longer
fresh. ^ Add new beans to the coffee bean container.
