PREPARING THE APPLIANCE
Mounting the appliance
It is easier to mount the wings (8) before mounting the
fan to the ceiling.
• Place the motor section
(9) of the appliance on a
cloth or blanket to avoid
scratching.
• Loosen the 8 mounting
screws for the wings and
remove the pieces of
cardboard. Leave in the
remaining 4 screws.
• Attach the wings to the motor section using the
accompanying screws and washers (see picture).
Ensure all wings face the same way (see the rivets
– leave the nice side facing down), as otherwise the
fan will shake and run unevenly.
• Do not rest the fan on the wings during assembling.
Mounting and installation of the fan
Turn off the appropriate fuse cluster or the HFI relay
to make sure power has been turned off in the ceiling
socket before fitting the appliance. 2 people are
required to mount and install the fan.
• Mount the ceiling bracket (1) by screwing it into the
ceiling using 4 long, solid screws. Use the oblong
holes in the bracket.
o The side with the rubber cushions must face the
ceiling.
o The ceiling where the fan is mounted must be
able to support a weight of at least 45 kg.
o The screws need to be screwed at least 40 mm
into the ceiling.
• Set the dipswitch on the RF
receiver (14) as described
in the section on setting
dipswitches below.
• Attach the blue (N) and
the brown (L) cord marked
“AC POWER INPUT” on
the RF receiver (12) to the
corresponding cords in the
connection cord using the
connector (see picture)
• Attach the blue (N) and the
brown (L) cord marked “TO
FAN WIRES” (1) on the RF
receiver to the corresponding cords on the fan using
the connector (see picture).
o Tip! Alternatively, hang the fan in the ceiling
bracket while fitting the cords, by attaching the
hook (2) to one of the screw holes at the side of
the top canopy (5).
• You can attach the earthed cord of the connection
cord (4) to the corresponding green/yellow cord of
the fan using a connector.
• Ensure that all cords are securely attached to the
connectors.
• Position the RF receiver against the ceiling bracket
so that the hollow with the dipswitch faces away
from the ceiling.
• To secure the cords, push them under the hook.
• Slide the top canopy towards the ceiling so that
the 4 screw holes in the canopy are opposite the 4
holes at the edge of the ceiling bracket. Make sure
all cords and the antenna (15) are properly placed
inside the canopy so they are not trapped when
fitting the fan (see picture).
• Turn the shaft (6) until the
dowel (I.) at the bottom of
the top canopy is secured
with a click to the groove
of ball joint (see picture).
• Securely attach the top
canopy to the ceiling
bracket using the 4
mounting screws ().
• Push the lower canopy (7)
towards the motor section
and secure it with the
small screw (II.).
Placing battery in the remote control
Open the battery compartment (e) by sliding off the
cover at the rear of the remote control (17). Attach (1) 9
v battery to the battery connection (g), making sure the
poles are correctly connected. The battery connector
can only be fitted in one position. Press the battery into
place in the battery compartment and replace the cover.
• If the appliance does not respond, or responds
slowly, when activating the remote control, it could
be because the batteries need replacing.
• Never mix new and old, or standard and
rechargeable batteries.
• Always remove the batteries from the remote control
if the appliance is not to be used for a prolonged
period.
Dipswitch settings
The dipswitches in the remote control (f) and on the RF
receiver must be set at the same channel in order for
the fan to receive the signal from the remote control.
• Open the cover to the battery compartment and
press one or more of the small white buttons (1-4) to
the “ON” (on) position, using a thin pointed object,
e.g. a small screwdriver.
• Set the dipswitch in the hollow of the RF receiver in
the same way. This must be done, before the fan is
mounted.
• NOTE: If several appliances of the same type are
mounted close to each other, make sure that the
dipswitches in each appliance (and corresponding
remote control) are set on different channels in
order for you to be able to turn the fans on and off
separately.
Mounting the holder to the remote control
You can mount the accompanying holder for the remote
control (6) to a wall with two screws if desired.
