Insert a CD as described on the previous
page. Press the POWER/ALARM
RESET button
1 to turn the unit on; the
POWER indicator will light. Slide the
FUNCTION switch
2 to the CD position
(the total number of tracks will appear in
the display).

Press the PLAY/PAUSE ( ®p ) button
to start playback. TO PAUSE PLAY-
BACK, press the PLAY/PAUSE ( ®p
button again; the display will briefly
blink. Press again to resume playback.

TO PLAY A CD
To skip forward or backward through the
tracks on the disc, press the SKIP n 1
or o 2 button. To search forward or
backward through the tracks on the disc,
press and hold the SKIP
n 1 or o 2
button.

Adjust the VOLUME control 1 as
desired. Press the DISPLAY button 2
when the time is showing to see the
number of tracks on the CD. When the
disc is through playing, it will stop.
Press the STOP (
■ ) button 3 to stop
the disc before it is finished.

• If a disc is inserted incorrectly, dirty, damaged or not present at all, the display
will show, “no”.
