Position the rear grille against the front of the motor housing
with the handle uppermost, ensuring that the locating pegs on
the motor housing are engaged correctly in the holes in the
grille.
•

motor housing, by rotating clockwise and tighten firmly.
•
Place the fan blade onto the motor spindle, locating the slot at

of the grille.
USE
WARNING:
In order to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, never use the
appliance together with an electronic timer.
•
Insert the plug a suitable socket.
•
To adjust the up and down angle of the airflow, loosen the
head clamping screw and tilt the head up or down to the
required position. Re-tighten the clamping screw to hold the
head in the desired position.
•
The height of the fan can be adjusted by loosening the height
adjustment ring on the column, carefully raising or lowering
the fan to the height required and then firmly re-tightening the
height adjustment ring.
•
Fit 2 AAA size batteries (not supplied) into the remote
controller, ensuring they are inserted the correct way round as
indicated by the detail marked in the bottom of the battery
compartment. When the batteries are exhausted, dispose of
them in the proper manner and in accordance with local
regulations.
•
The hand held remote controller is directional and must be
pointed towards the fan control panel to be effective. The
operating range can be up to 8 metres depending on the state
of the batteries and the local environment.
All the features detailed below can be selected either directly by
hand on the body of the fan or by means of the remote controller.
•
When the fan is plugged into a working power socket the
POWER on indicator will illuminate.
•
Pressing ON/SPEED or OFF button will turn the fan ON or
OFF.
•
With the fan on, pressing the ON/SPEED button will select the
speeds LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH in order and the red LED
next to the speed selected will be illuminated.
Timer:
With the fan running, pressing the TIMER button will select running
times of 0.5 hour to 7.5 hours (0.5 hour per step). The appropriate
red LED lights will illuminate according to the time set. The fan will
switch off after the time selected has elapsed. The LED lights will
show the time remaining until the fan stops.
Example: with 7.5 hours set, all 4 time indicators will be on as
4+2+1+0.5 = 7.5
The timer can be used for all 3 different modes (NORMAL,
NATURE or SLEEP).
Mode selection:
With the fan running, pressing the MODE button will select the
modes NATURE, SLEEP and NORMAL in order and in the case of
NATURE and SLEEP modes, the red LED next to the mode chosen
will be illuminated.
In NORMAL mode no LED will be illuminated and constant speeds
of either LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH can be selected.
Nature mode:
In NATURE mode, the speed varies continuously, to simulate the
variable effect of a natural breeze.
3 different speed settings can be selected for the NATURE mode,
by selecting fan speed (Low, Mid or High).
Sleep mode:
In SLEEP mode, the fan speed varies according to the same
pattern as in NATURE mode but the speed will diminish to take
account of the fact that a sleeping person’s temperature
decreases slightly as they sleep.
If LOW speed is selected initially in SLEEP mode, the fan works in
LOW SLEEP mode until the preset time is up or the fan is turned
off.
Oscillation:
With the fan running pressing the SWING button will activate or
de-activate the oscillation of the fan head.
Caution: The fan should always be switched off when making any
adjustment to height or head angle.
CLEANING
•
Always switch the fan off and unplug it before cleaning.
•
Clean the plastic parts using a damp cloth and a mild
detergent, and ensure that all detergent residue is removed.
•
Never use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
•
Do not immerse in any form of liquid.
