Renaming a Title
You can name Original and Playlist titles independently.

On the Title List menu, use
v V b B to choose
the title you want to name then press ENTER.
Options appear on the left side of the menu.

Use
v/V to select the ‘Rename’ option then
press ENTER.
The Keyboard menu appears.
e.g., If you select “Rename” on Title List-Original
menu:

Enter a name for the title. Use
v V b B to select
a character then press ENTER to confirm your
selection. Refer to step 5 as shown on page 26
(Disc Label).

Choose OK then press ENTER to save the name
and return to the previous menu screen.

Press RETURN (
O) repeatedly to exit the
menu.

• Names can be up to 32 characters long.
• For discs formatted on a different DVD Recorder, you
will see only a limited character set.
• When recording on DVD-R, DVD+R or DVD+RW, the
entered name is displayed on the DVD player only
after finalizing.
Combining Two Chapters
Use this function to combine two adjacent Playlist or
Original chapters into one.

On the Chapter List menu, select the second
chapter of the two chapters you want to com-
bine then press ENTER.
The Chapter List options appear on the left side of
the menu.
e.g., if you select “Combine” on the Chapter List-
Original menu:

Use
v / V to select the “Combine” option then
press ENTER.
The confirm message for combining will appear.
After pressing ENTER, the new, updated menu is
displayed.

Repeat steps 1 - 2 to continue to combine from
the menu.

Press RETURN (
O) repeatedly to exit the
menu.

This function will not work under the following con-
ditions:
• If there is only one chapter within the title.
• If a part from the original title was erased.
• If two chapters are created from different titles.
• If the order of the chapters was changed in the orig-
inal title.
