There are mounting holes provided through the
safe walls that are accessed from inside the safe.
Use the provided hardware or fasteners of your
choice to firmly anchor your safe to a solid and
stable surface. Models T21543 and T21545 are
designed to mount on a wall or shelf, and the door
must open horizontally to operate correctly. Model
T21544 is a floor safe and the door must open
vertically for proper operation.

NOTICE
NEvER keep the safe keys inside the safe.
We recommend that you keep each key in
a separate secure and accessible location.
In the event that both your personal and
emergency codes have been forgotten or
misplaced, these physical keys will be the
only way to unlock your safe. grizzly can-
not replace lost or stolen keys. Please con-
tact your local locksmith if this happens.
Safe Keys
The safe keys can be used to unlock the safe door
instead of your personal code or the emergency
code.
if you have used the key to unlock the safe door,
you will have to use it to re-lock the door so that
you can remove the key from the door.
However, the key cannot be used to re-lock the
safe door if a code was used to open it.
Refer the next section for detailed instructions
regarding using the safe key.
Opening Safe Door the First Time
1. After you remove your new safe from the
shipping box, detach the two safe keys from
the outside of the safe.
2. Use a 4mm hex wrench to remove one of the
button head cap screws that secure the brass
nameplate, then let the nameplate swing
down to expose the keyhole (see
Figure 1).
