Stove Location - If the stove must be located
near a window, avoid using long curtains which
could blow over the stove top, causing a fire
hazard.
Any openings in the wall behind the stove or
in the floor under the stove must be sealed.
Do not set unopened glass or metal containers
on the stove.
Grease accumulation is the cause of many
cooking fires. Clean the oven compartment
regularly.
Do not attempt to extinguish a grease fire
with water. Cover grease fires with a pot lid
or baking soda.
Avoid the use of aerosol containers near the
stove.
