Considerations for SMV 3000 Transmitter
Evaluate conditions
The SMV 3000 transmitter is designed to operate in common indoor
industrial environments as well as outdoors. To assure optimum
performance, evaluate these conditions at the mounting area relative to
published transmitter specifications and accepted installation practices for
electronic pressure transmitters.
• Environmental Conditions
– Ambient Temperature
– Relative Humidity
• Potential Noise Sources
– Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)
– Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
• Vibration Sources
– Pumps
– Motorized Valves
– Valve Cavitation
• Process Characteristics
– Temperature
– Maximum Pressure Rating
Figure 7 illustrates typical mounting area considerations to make before
installing a transmitter.
