Metering principle
Measurement of light reflected by the metering dot in the middle of the
1st shutter curtain
Diameter of the metering dot: 12 mm (equal to approx. 13% of the full
negative format or around 2/3 of the short side of the relevant bright-
line frame in the rangefinder)
Measuring range

POWER SUPPLY
Two silver oxide coin battery (PX76/SR 44) or one lithium cell (DL1/3N)
At room temperature and 14 s metering time per shot, a set of fresh
batteries will last for around 100 films with 36 exposures each, which
makes for approx. 3600 shots (according to Leica test standards).
