UNCTIONALITY
The multiple socket is equipped with an over-
voltage protection device. The overvoltage pro-
tection device prevents the devices connected
to the multiple socket from being damaged by
overvoltage in the main supply.
Overvoltages are caused, for instance, by
indirect lighting strikes or by the activation of
other electrical appliances (monitors, ovens,
lamps, etc.).
For a correct operation, the multiple socket
should be connected to a socket with a profes-
sionally installed protective conductor.
The overvoltage protection is active if the con-
trol light 2 is on.
In case of failure of the overvoltage protection
device, the control light goes out.
If the earth control light 3 is on, the earth circuit
is connected properly to the socket.
If the earth control light is not on, please allow
your electrical installation to be inspected by an
expert.
