Safety
To avoid the danger of loss of life from electric shock:

Remove the AC adaptor plug after using the appliance or in order to clean it.

CAUTION! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not use while in the bath.

ATTENTION! Keep the device dry.
J
Never immerse the appliance or the cable with the AC adaptor plug into water or any
other liquid.
J
Never allow the appliance to operate unsupervised and only in accordance with the
details on the rating plate.

Remove the AC adaptor plug from the socket
– in the event of a disturbance,
– before cleaning the appliance,
– if you do not intend to use the appliance for any length of time,
– after every use.
Pull on the plug and not on the cable.

Should any damage to the cable, the AC adaptor plug, the casing or any other parts be
ascertained, the appliance must not be used any more.
J
Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist dealer or by our service centres (see
guarantee document).

CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! If the appliance falls into water,
you must first pull the AC adaptor plug out of the socket before putting your
hand into the water.

CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Never touch the AC adaptor
plug with wet hands, especially when you are putting it into or pulling it out of
the socket.

Hold the AC adaptor plug by its casing when you pull it out of the socket.

Installation of a residual current protection device with a nominal tripping current of not
more than 30 mA offers further protection from electric shock. Only allow the installation
to be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Only use the original AC adaptor plug for mains operation.
J
Examine the AC adaptor plug and the hair and beard trimmer regularly for any mechanical
defects.

Replace defective parts with original replacement parts obtained from a specialist dealer but
never attempt to repair the device yourself!

Have all repairs carried out by a specialist dealer or through our Service Centre (see
Service Hotline on the warranty sheet).

Ensure that the lead does not become trapped in cupboard doors or pass over
hot surfaces. Otherwise you risk damaging the insulation on the lead.
