12. Remove seat assembly (14)(15) from body (1) and discard.
13. Inspect all parts for damage and replace if necessary. Remove and
replace bottom cap seals (8)(12) (lubricate lightly with Krytox lubri-
cant). Replace seat assembly (14) and insert the bottom cap (2) back
into the body (1). Note: Use only parts manufactured and supplied
by LowFlow Valve for these parts.
Troubleshooting
1. Erratic Operation; Chattering
•
Oversize regulator; inadequate rangeability
- Check actuator fl ow conditions, re-size regulator for mini
mum and maximum fl ow.
- Increase fl ow rate.
- Install next step higher range spring. Before replacing
regulator, contact factory
•
Worn plug or seat; inadequate guiding
- Replace trim (possible body replacement)
•
Valve is stuck in position.
- Determine if corrosion is causing piston assembly/ plug to
not move freely. Clean or replace parts as necessary.
2. Regulator can’t pass suffi cient fl ow
•
Regulator not closing tightly
- Inspect seat assembly and plug; replace if worn.
• Downstream
blockage
- Check system; isolate (block fl ow at regulator inlet- not
outlet).
- Relocate regulator if necessary
•
No pressure relief protection
- Install safety relief valve, or rupture disc.
