Release Notes
The release notes give you late-breaking information about Kofax Export Connector for CMIS.
Please read this document carefully, as it contains information that is not included in the
other documentation.
Known Issues
This section contains information about issues that you may encounter while using this
export connector.
Export Connector Installation Error
If you attempt to install Kofax Export Connector for CMIS without Administrator rights on
a Windows operating system that has UAC capabilities, the installation may fail with the
following error (SPR00115934):
Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program
run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support
personnel or package vendor. Action Register, location: ...\RegAscSc.exe" /f
Kofax.CMIS.Export.inf
To prevent the error, use Run as Administrator to open a Command Prompt window and
manually run Setup.msi to perform the installation.
If the error already occurred, you can use the following workaround to resolve the issue.
Workaround: Uninstall Kofax Export Connector 1.0.0 for CMIS, which is registered and
displayed on the list of installed programs. Then use Run as Administrator to open a
Command Prompt window and manually run Setup.msi to perform the installation.
Export Performance with SharePoint
A potential for performance degradation exists if you use the Kofax Export Connector for
CMIS to export a high volume of batches to SharePoint. In this situation, the degradation can
impact CPU utilization and overall processing throughput. (SPR00115740)
To ensure optimal performance while exporting a high volume of batches, we recommend
that you use Kofax Export Connector for SharePoint instead of Kofax Export Connector for
CMIS, because the SharePoint export connector offers direct access to the native SharePoint
API.
Problem Accessing Changed FileNet Folder Property from Setup Window
After changing the name of an IBM FileNet Content Manager folder property referenced in
the Kofax Export Connector for CMIS setup, an error occurs if you reopen the setup window
and attempt to browse to the newly changed folder. (SPR00076016)
