Audio soundtrack
and/or subtitle
language is not the
one selected at the
Initial settings.
• If the audio soundtrack and/or subtitle language
does not exist on the disc, the language selected
at the initial settings will not be seen/heard.
No subtitles.
•Subtitles appear only with discs which contain
them.
•Subtitles are cleared from the screen. Perform
the steps on page 31 to display the subtitles.
•Some subtitles recorded around point A or B
may fail to appear during A-B repeat play.
•Some subtitles recorded around the marker may
fail to appear.

The subtitle language

the selected One
• In some cases, the subtitle language is not
changed to the selected one immediately.
Angle cannot be
changed.
•This function is dependent on software availabili
ty. Even if a disc has a number of angles record
ed, these angles may be recorded for specific
scenes only.
ySS function does
not work.
•This function does not work with DVD Karaoke
discs.
•This function may not work with some Dolby
Digital 2.1ch or 3,1 ch DVDs. Additionally, this ef
fect may not work properly with some Dolby
Digital DVDs other than 2.1ch or 3.1 ch, depend
ing on the software.

preferred language.
•Confirm the setting at the “3 Menus” of “1 Disc
Languages”.

The password for
rating level has been
forgotten.
•Reset all the
settings to Factory
Preset.
•While the player is in the stop mode, press and
hold the player’s SKIP/SEARCH (1^) button
and the PAUSE
(DD)
button down simultaneously
and then press and hold PLAY (>) for longer
than 3 seconds (until “Initialized” disappears
from the screen). All initial settings will return to
the default values. If you have selected “Lock
AH” in “2 Ratings”, you must remove the DVD
from the player before performing this operation.
