the ammeter should indicate positive charge.
THROTTLE/CHOKE CONTROL LEVER
CHOKE
FAST
SLOW U
The throttle/choke control lever is
located on the right side of the trac
tor’s dash panel. This lever controls
the speed of the engine and, when
pushed all the way forward, the
choke control also. When set in
a given position, the throttle will
maintain a uniform engine speed.
IMPORTANT: When operating
the tractor with the cutting deck
engaged, be certain that the throttle
lever is always in the FAST (rabbit)
position.

used to activate the Reverse Caution Mode (blades operate while
riding in reverse). Insert key into the key switch module and turn
clockwise to the START position. ^.........................................................^
Release the key into the normal mow
ing position once engine has started.
The headlights will be activated in the
Normal (and Reverse Caution) modes.
To stop the engine, turn the ignition
key counterclockwise to the STOP
position.
IMPORTANT: Prior to operating the
tractor, refer to both “Safety Interlock
System” and “Starting The Engine”
later in this section of this manual
for detailed instructions regarding the Ignition Switch Module and
operating the tractor in REVERSE CAUTION MODE.
AWARNING
Never leave a running machine unattended. Always disengage PTO,
move shift lever into neutral position, set parking brake, stop engine
and remove key to prevent unintended starting.
DECK LIFT LEVER

used to change the height of the cutting deck. To use, move
the lever to the left, then place in the notch best suited for
your application.

fender, allows you to regulate the travel
direction and ground speed of the lawn

and move the speed control lever forward
(to travel forward) or rearward (to travel in
reverse). The further forward or rearward
that the lever is moved, the faster the
tractor will travel.
Place the speed control lever in the Cutting
Speed, or slower, position when mowing.
IMPORTANT:
Do NOT attempt to change
the direction of travel when the tractor is
in motion. Serious damage to the tractor's
transmission could result. Always bring the tractor to a complete stop
before moving the speed control lever from forward to reverse or vice
versa.
IMPORTANT:
Always set the parking brake when leaving the tractor
unattended.
SEAT ADJUSTMENT LEVER
To adjust the seat forward or backward on units equipped with a quick-
adjust seat, slide the seat adjustment lever to the left and reposition the

the running board. Depress the brake pedal part of the way down to
slow the tractor's ground speed. Depress the pedal all the way down to
engage the disc brake and bring the tractor to a complete stop.
NOTE:
The pedal must be depressed to start the engine. Refer to
