Using the remote
control
You can dperate the remote control only
when the power is supplied through the
DC IN 4.5 V jack.
The buttons on the remote control have
the same function as those with the
same names on the main unit (except
the MODE button).
*Press to mute the sound instantly.
Press again to resume sound.
How to install batteries
Insert two size AA (R6) batteries (not
supplied) into the battery compartment.
When to replace the batteries
The batteries usually last for about 3
months.
When the remotely controllable area
becomes smaller or the illumination of the
buttons becomes darker, replace all the
batteries with new ones.
To adjust the volume
Press LEVEL + or - button.
When you press LEVEL +, "LEV+" is
displayed. When you press LEVEL
"LEV-" is displayed.
To make various mode settings
How to set the mode on the remote
control is different from how it is set on
the main unit (see pages 9 -12).
1 Press MODE.
2 Select the mode you want by pressing
A or ▼.
3 Select the setting under the mode by
pressing ► or ◄.
4 Press TRANSMIT.
Notes
• If 10 seconds have passed before you
press TRANSMIT, the settings you have
made will be cancelled. If this happens,
repeat steps 1-4.
• If the indicatioris on the display of the
main unit do not change after you press
TRANSMIT, that means the signals from
the remote control have not been
transmitted to the main unit successfully.
Operate the remote control within the
proper distance and angle from the main
unit (see page 9.)
About the illumination
• As long as the remote control is kept
in its holder, all the buttons (except A,
▼, ►, and TRANSMIT) and the
display are illuminated.
• When the remote control is
disconnected from its holder, the
buttons are not illuminated.
When you press ILLUMINATION or
any operation button, all the buttons
(except A, T, ►,
A
and TRANSMIT)
and the display are illuminated for
about 15 seconds.
