Descripción
La jeringa intraligamentosa Integra® Miltex® N-Tralig® se usa para suministrar anestésico den-
tal. La jeringa intraligamentosa Integra® Miltex® N-Tralig® se suministra NO ESTÉRIL y está
empacada de a una jeringa por caja.
PRECAUCIÓN: Las leyes federales de EE. UU. restringen la venta de este dispositivo por
prescripción de un dentista o médico.
Indicaciones
La jeringa intraligamentosa Integra® Miltex® N-Tralig® es indicada para usarse junto con agu-
jas para anestesia y cartuchos de anestesia para la inyección de soluciones anestésicas en la
cavidad bucal.

Advertencias
• La primera y la última dosis pueden no suministrar los 0,2 cc completos de anestésico.

Precauciones
• Para evitar la filtración durante una inyección, asegúrese de que la aguja quede recta

• Se debe usar un carpule y una aguja nuevos para cada paciente.
• Desarme la jeringa antes de su limpieza y esterilización.
• No inyecte en dientes afectados periodontalmente, a menos que esté realizando una
extracción.
• Se recomienda el uso de agujas extra cortas o cortas de calibre 30 muy finas.
Instrucciones
Instrucciones de carga
1. Presione hacia abajo sobre el disco de freno (A). Tome la perilla de la varilla de dosis (B)

5. Enrosque una aguja de inyección corta o extra corta de calibre 30 en la tapa del cilindro

para adaptarse a agujas desechables con ejes de metal o de plástico.
6. Apriete ligeramente la palanca de inyección (E) hasta alcanzar el tope de la dosis
automático. Se expulsará una dosis parcial de fluido anestésico, lo que asegura el
funcionamiento correcto de la jeringa intraligamentosa Integra® Miltex® N-Tralig®.
Instrucciones de uso
1. Administre un anestésico tópico sobre el tejido gingival.
2. Coloque la aguja contra el diente en ángulo hacia el diente y paralela al eje largo del
diente. Se prefiere una aplicación mesial o distal, ya que se puede acceder mejor a esas
áreas. En caso de una aplicación distal, las agujas pueden doblarse para adaptarse a la
aplicación.
3. Administre unas pocas gotas de anestesia para minimizar más cualquier incomodidad.
Lentamente deslice la aguja más a través del surco, aproximadamente 2 mm hasta que
alcance el hueso alveolar.
4. Para asegurarse de que la aguja se haya colocado correctamente en el ligamento

6. La anestesia infiltrada, cuando sea aplicada correctamente, es efectiva de inmediato. No

Instrucciones de descarga

Instrucciones de limpieza

Description
Integra ® Miltex ® N-Tralig ® Intraligamentary Syringe is used to deliver dental anesthetic.
Integra ® Miltex ® N-Tralig ® Intraligamentary Syringe is supplied NON-STERILE and is
packaged one syringe per box.
CAUTION: Federal (USA) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order
of a dentist or physician.
Indications
Integra ® Miltex ® N-Tralig ® Intraligamentary Syringe is indicated to be used in
conjunction with anesthetic needles and anesthetic cartridges for injection of
anesthetic solutions in the oral cavity.
Contraindications
None known.
Warnings
• First and last dosage may not deliver the full 0.2 cc of anesthesia.
For accurate dosage, discard first dose and continue with second dose.
• The Integra ® Miltex ® N-Tralig ® Intraligamentary Syringe is not an aspirating
syringe and should not be used as such.
• Do not use intraligamentary injections in cases involving any loosened
teeth or impacted molars.
• To avoid needle sticks, re-cap needle after injection has been given.
• Do not inject more than 0.2cc of anesthetic per root (one complete squeeze
of the handle). Overdosage may result in post-operative pain and
inflammation of the tissues.
• Infiltration must be carried out over a period of approximately 30 seconds.
Faster infiltration might create pressure strong enough to break the carpule.
Precautions
• To avoid leakage during an injection, ensure that needle is straight as it
penetrates cartridge diaphragm.
• Hub cannot be removed. Do not attempt to remove hub from syringe for
sterilization or for any other reason as damage to syringe will occur.
• Syringe should not be altered or reconfigured for any reason.
• Do not mix metals when sterilizing syringes. Sterilizing syringes with other
non-stainless steel instruments may cause damage to syringe.
• Prior to injection with a new carpule, gently squeeze injection lever (E) with
carpule and needle loaded until the automatic dosage stop is reached.
• A new carpule and needle must be used for each patient.
• Disassemble syringe prior to cleaning and sterilizing.
• Do not inject into periodontally involved teeth unless performing an extraction.
• Use of very fine 30 gauge short or extra short needles is recommended.
Instructions
Loading Instructions
1. Press down on top of the brake disc (A). Grasp dosage rod knob (B) (while keeping
brake disc down) and pull dosage rod out as far as possible.
2. Unscrew cartridge barrel cap (C).
3. Insert normal anesthetic carpule into barrel (D), rubber or plastic stopper end first.
4. Replace cartridge barrel cap (C).
5. Screw 30 gauge short or extra short injection needle onto the cartridge barrel cap
(C). The Integra ® Miltex ® N-Tralig ® Intraligamentary Syringe is designed to
accommodate disposable needles with either metal or plastic hubs.
6. Gently squeeze injection lever (E) until the automatic dosage stop is reached.
A partial dosage of anesthetic fluid will be expelled assuring proper functioning
of the Integra
®
Miltex
® N-Tralig ® Intraligamentary Syringe.
Instructions For Use
1. Administer topical anesthetic to gingival tissue.
2. Place the needle against the tooth at an angle towards the tooth and parallel to the
long axis of the tooth. Mesial or distal application is preferred, as those areas are
better accessed. In the case of distal application, the needles can be bent to suit
the application.
3. Administer a few drops of anesthesia to further minimize any discomfort. Slowly
slide the needle further through the sulcus, approximately 2mm, until it reaches
alveolar bone.
4. To make sure the needle is correctly placed in the periodontal ligament, a slight
pressure should now be applied on the injection lever (E). Firm resistance to the
lever should be felt. This back pressure is necessary to ensure entrance to the
ligament. If no back pressure is felt, the needle should be further advanced towards
the root of the tooth, or introduced into another area of the periodontal ligament.
5. Having made certain that the needle is in the periodontal ligament, squeeze
injection lever (E) slowly, releasing a complete dose over a period of approximately
30 seconds, which is the proper time required to dispense one dose of 0.2cc. One
complete squeeze of the trigger releases one dose sufficient to anesthetize a single
rooted tooth. A tooth with multiple roots requires a dosage of 0.2cc per root.
6. The infiltrated anesthesia, when properly applied, is effective immediately.
There is no additional waiting time required and treatment may begin at once.
Unloading Instructions
1. Press down on top of the brake disc (A).
2. Pull back the dosage rod knob (B).
3. Remove capped needle from the cartridge barrel cap (C).
4. Remove the cartridge and discard.
Cleaning Instructions
• For best and longest service life, syringe should be thoroughly washed to
remove all traces of blood, saliva, and anesthesia solution after each use.
• Remove paraffin that has accumulated on the harpoon.
• Disassemble to expose all surfaces and separate dissimilar metals prior to
cleaning and sterilizing.
• Clean Integra ® Miltex ® N-Tralig ® Intraligamentary Syringe prior to
lubricating advancement block and spring.
• For ultrasonic cleaning, follow manufacturer’s specifications for water level,
concentration levels of cleaning agent and temperature.
• Do not soak instruments in hot water, alcohol, disinfectants or
antiseptics to avoid coagulation of mucus, blood or other body fluids.
• Do not use steel wool, wire brushes, pipe cleaners or abrasive detergents
to remove soil as these will damage the instrument and lead to corrosion.
• Rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of debris and cleansing agents.
• Place two sprays of Integra
® Miltex ® Lubricant under the dosage rod (F)
near the advancement block (G) and spring.
• Wipe off the excess lubricant.
Sterilization Instructions
• Syringes are supplied non-sterile and must be sterilized prior to each use.
• Syringes should not be sterilized with other instruments to avoid
syringe damage.
• Before each use, sterilize and inspect instrument. Sterilize
syringes according to an approved National/International
Standard. Integra
® Miltex ® syringe have been tested with
no adverse effects under the following sterilization parameters
in a standard, gravity steam, sterilizer:
• Do not use cold sterilants, as they will react to the chrome plating of the syringe.
Independent laboratory testing conducted according to ANSI/AAMI Standards, has
validated the following sterilization parameters.
