INSTALLATION
1) Remove the Power Transformer from the shipping crate, and use the screws provided to
attach the transformer to its mounting plate on the vacuum lifter.
Note: Some lifters require the lift bar to be in a vertical orientation to access the
transformer's mounting plate. If so, consult the ASSEMBLY and OPERATION sections of the
lifter's instruction manual to position the lift bar appropriately. If the lifter also features
powered tilt capability, connect the unmounted transformer to the power cable as directed in
step 2 of INSTALLATION. Be careful to support the transformer and provide sufficient slack in
the power cable to allow for lift bar movement. Once the lift bar has been raised to a vertical
orientation, disconnect the power cable and attach the transformer to its mounting plate.
2) Connect the transformer to the power cable, as follows:
Identify the male connector that is wired to the lifter's power unit. Push the power unit's
male connector into the transformer's female connector, and twist to secure the connectors
together.
Identify the female connector that has been wired to the external power source, as directed
in the ASSEMBLY section of the lifter's instruction manual. Push the transformer's male
connector into the power source's female connector, and twist to secure the connectors
together.
Make certain the power cable is routed so that it does not become tangled while operating
the lifter or hoisting equipment. Use cable ties to secure any loose portions of the power
cable to the lifter.
