INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY PRECAUTION
INSTALLATION
Before starting the installation and servicing, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker. Turning the power
off by using the light switch is not sufficient to prevent electrical shock. All work should be done by a qualified electrician.
Direct mounting to recessed box (wall mounting)
1. Remove the mounting plate by unscrew 2 hex bolts from the fixture.
2. Fastening the mounting plate to recessed outlet box while leveling the mounting plate by the level bubble to the
horizontal line.
3. Splice leads and push splices into outlet box.
4. Care should be taken when mounting fixture not to pinch the wire leads. Align the fixture against the mounting plate.
5. Secure the fixture by tighten the 2 hex bolts to lock the mounting plate.
6. For wet locations, caulk between rear gasket and mounting surface to prevent water from entering the fixture
from behind.
7. Install lamp of proper wattage and lamp type provided with fixture.
CAUTION: Downward light is correct position. Upward light is incorrect position. This fixture must be mounted in the cor-
rect position, otherwise it will cause unit failure.
NOTE: For RDI/RTP Up-Down fixture, the smaller open frame is upward lighting, the big open frame is for downward
lighting. Never install fixture in opposite position.
See the ballast wiring label and the rating label to locate the power tap to the appropriate voltage tap. If supplied with a
single voltage tap, make sure the voltage furnished to the fixture is the same as specified on the unit.
CAUTION: Make sure all unused ballast taps are capped to avoid a short circuit to the reflector when The fixture is energized.
CAUTION: DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT BEFORE REPLACING LAMP
o Check your power source o Check electrical connections o Check to insure proper seating of lamp o Check if lamp burned out
1. Release the screws and open the door frame.
2. Replace the correct lamp.
3. Close the door frame by tighten the screws.
