10' Natural Gas Hose with Quick Connect

WARNING
Read all instructions prior to installation and use. •
This connection is intended for outdoor use only with portable •
appliances that may be moved for convenience of operation.
This connection is for use with natural gas systems not •
exceeding ½ PSI (3.45 kPa).
This connection must be of adequate length for the intended •
application. The connection is designed for movement after
installation, but must not be kinked, twisted or torqued.
Periodic visual inspection should be made to determine that
the connection is suitable for continued use.
Contact with damaging foreign objects or substances must be •
avoided.
All adapters (unions) supplied with the connector must be •
used. No attempt shall be made to connect the fittings on
the connector directly to the threaded rigid pipe ends on the
equipment manifold or the outlet of the natural gas piping
system.
DO NOT make modifications to this hose assembly. If the hose •
assembly does not fit, return to the original place of purchase
and obtain the correct hose assembly for your gas appliance.
Examine the new hose assembly for damage. Do not use hose •
assembly if damaged. If damaged return to the original place
of purchase.
DO NOT use appliance until leak testing is complete and any •
leaks are corrected.

Installation Guidelines for Natural Gas Hose Assembly
Turn off natural gas supply at the shut-off valve on the gas 1.)
source piping.
Apply Teflon 2.) ® tape to the male threads on the gas source piping.
Connect the female threaded end of the coupling socket to the 3.)
gas source piping in accordance with NFPA-54/ANSI Z223.1
Fuel Gas Code.
Turn on natural gas supply at the valve on the gas source 4.)
piping and check for leaks.
Connect the 3/8" flare fitting on the natural gas hose to the 5.)
appliance’s gas manifold or burner in accordance with the
appliance manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect the natural gas hose to the gas supply line by pushing 6.)
back the sleeve on the socket and inserting the male fitting on
the hose into the socket and releasing the sleeve. Push male
fitting until the sleeve snaps forward locking the male fitting in
the socket. Note: This automatically initiates the flow of natural
gas to the appliance. Leak test the hose connections.
WARNING
When leak testing the connections:
Conduct leak test outdoors in a well ventilated area. •
Do not smoke. •
Do not use or permit sources of ignition in the area while •
conducting a leak test.
Do not use matches, lighters or flame to check for leaks. •
Do not use the appliance until any leaks are corrected. •
Leak Testing
Before lighting your appliance, check for leaks by applying a 1.)
mild soapy water solution to all connections. The appearance
of bubbles indicates a leak. Rinse with clean water after leak
testing to remove any potential corrosive residue.
Repair any leaks prior to lighting your appliance. If you cannot 2.)
stop a leak by additional tightening of the connection, turn off
the natural gas supply at the shut-off valve on the gas source
piping. Disconnect the natural gas hose from gas supply and
have a gas service person make the needed repairs.

ADVERTENCIA
