You can switch the channel number setting of the built-in microphone.
≥ The option is set to [2ch] when an external microphone is connected.
Recording setting of the built-in microphone can be adjusted.
*1 The option is displayed only when [5.1ch/2ch] is set to [5.1ch].

[SURROUND]/[STEREO]:
Records sounds with the setting of [MIC SETUP] ([SURROUND] or
[STEREO MIC]).
[MONO]:
Records sounds from all directions without setting specific directivity.

Sound is recorded with changing the directionality in conjunction
with the zoom operation. Sounds near the front of the unit are
recorded more clearly if you zoom in (close-up) and surrounding
sounds are recorded more realistically if you zoom out (wide angle).
[FOCUS MIC]

directionality toward the center.
