9.6 Connecting an eSATA Hard Disk Drive (recommended)
Your device has an eSATA connector to connect an external eSATA Hard Disk Drive formatted
in FAT32, EXT2, EXT3, NTFS with an eSATA cable.
Always turn on the eSATA Hard Disk before you reboot the set. Never connect or
disconnect the eSATA Hard Disk during operation of the device. Always turn off the
device before connecting or disconnecting. To work properly, ensure that your eSATA
Hard Disk has an external Power source.
For eSATA Hard Disks formatted in NTFS your device can only playback files (movies,
MP3s, photos). Recording is not possible.
Recording of 3 channels simultaneously, is only possible to a Storage connected via
eSATA because of the writing speed.
9.7 Connecting an external USB memory
1. The receiver supports all types of hard disk drives in housings that are equipped with an
independent power supply. The sole condition is that the hard disk has to have a single
basic partition that is formatted in FAT32 (recommended), EXT2, EXT3.
2. We recommend that you regularly archive data on your PC computer. A large number of
files with recordings may slow down the operation of the receiver (slow loading of the file
list).
Your receiver has three USB 2.0 host ports ( 1 x rear, 2 x front) to connect memory devices
(memory stick, external hard disk) formatted in FAT32, EXT2, EXT3, NTFS.
