In die Stellung VLF zum Durchführen eines Batterietests, zum
Einstellen des TUNE und des GROUND Reglers (Einstellung der
Bodenzusammensetzung). Diese Einstellungen werden später
beschrieben.
Die Stellung TR1 wird zum Auffinden von stark voneinander
abweichenden Metallen benutzt wie z.B. Gold und Eisen. Die Nadel
schlägt nach links aus, wenn es sich um einen eisenhaltigen
Gegenstand handelt, bzw. nach rechts, wenn es ein mögliches
Edelmetall ist.
In Stellung TR2 wird ein besserer Unterschied gemacht zwischen
Metallen derselben Kategorie wie z.B. Aluminium und Gold.
ABSTIMMEN DES DETEKTORS
Mit dem TUNE Regler wird die Feinabstimmung zwischen Sender und
Empfänger vorgenommen, so dass Sie während des Suchens jederzeit
eine deutliche Anzeige empfangen.
Stellen Sie den Lautstärkeregler ungefähr in Stellung 10.
Den Drehregler MODE auf VLF stellen.
Die Knöpfe GROUND, DISCRIMINATION, und SENSITIVITY in die
Mittelstellung bringen.
Halten Sie die Suchscheibe mindestens 30 cm vom Boden und von
Metallgegenständen entfernt. Halten Sie den roten Druckknopf auf dem
Handgriff eingedrückt und drehen Sie zugleich den Knopf TUNE bis die
Nadel genau in der Mitte steht.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If your detector is not working as it should, follow these suggestions to see
if you can eliminate the problem. If you cannot, take the detector to your
local SkyTronic store for assistance.
PROBLEM SUGGESTION
The sensitivity might be set too high. Adjust
SENSITIVITY.
You might be sweeping the detector’s
search coil too fast or at the wrong angle.
Sweep the search coil more slowly and
hold the detector correctly. See “Testing
and Using the Detector” on Page 8 and
“Pinpointing a Target” on Page 11. The detector display or
sounds false signals.
The detector might sound a false signal if it
detects heavily oxidized metals. Try
pinpointing the target from several different
angles (see “Pinpointing a target” on Page
11). If the detector does not display and
sound the same signal each time, the
target is probably heavily oxidized metal.
There might be more than one target in the
area you are searching.
The target might be a type of metal that the
detector does not recognize.
If the target is heavily oxidized, the detector
might not display the correct metal type.
This is not a malfunction.
