Ingalls For the car
Installation Instructions
1.
With the vehicle in park or low gear and on level ground, use an
inclinometer to take and document rear driveline angle reading.
2.
Raise rear of vehicle and secure with jack stands beneath each
frame rail, in front of the lower link arms. Leave a slight load on
the jack. Chock the front wheels. Remove the rear tires.
3.
Disconnect the upper end of the track bar from its frame
bracket.
4.
Loosen, Do Not remove, the attaching bolt at the front of the
upper link arm where it conects to the frame. Detach the rear
end of the upper link arm from the axle.and swing link out of the
way.
5.
Knockout the perforated plug in the bracket on the axle to make
the hole a slotted hole. Dress the slot with a file.
6.
Reconnect the link to the axle using the 3535 cam bolt. Install
the bolt from the inside so it points outward. Rotate the cams so
the tall side of the lobe points straight up (12 O'clock). Do Not
fully tighten either end of the link.
7.
Attach the upper end of the track arm to its frame bracket.
Snug the nut.
8.
Reinstall tires and lower vehicle.
9.
Torque the track bar to frmae bolt to 74 lb.ft.. Torque the frame
eyes of the upper links on each side to 55 lb.ft..
10. Repeat step 1 and compare readings. Rotate the new cam bolts
as needed to readjust pinion angle to match initial readings.
NOTE: Always adjust both cams equally. Torque bolts to 85 lb.ft..
