■ Tuning stations
There are two tuning methods: automatic and manual.
Automatic tuning is effective when station signals are
strong and there is no interference.
Automatic tuning
1 Press TUNER repeatedly to select “TUNER/FM” or
“TUNER/AM”.
2 Press / briefly.
→
“SEARCH” appears, and this DVD receiver
automatically detects the radio stations that have
strong signals for your selection.
Manual tuning
1 Press TUNER repeatedly to select “TUNER/FM” or
“TUNER/AM”.
2 Press / to tune into the desired station manually.
– Hold down / to continue searching.
– Switch the FM mode from stereo to mono if the FM
station you have selected has a weak signal.
– Each time you press SURR, the front panel display
changes as follows:
■ Presetting stations
There are three ways presetting methods: plug and
play, automatic and manual. Use these methods to
store up to 20 FM and 10 AM stations.You can then
recall any preset station easily by selecting the preset
station number.
This DVD receiver will exit presetting mode if no button is
pressed within 20 seconds.
Plug and Play
This function enables this DVD receiver to
automatically tuned into FM stations followed by AM
stations with strong signals.
1 Press TUNER.
→
“ AUTO PRESET ” and “ PRESS PLAY ” appears one
after the other if installation has not been completed.
2 Press h on the front panel to start installation.
→
“ AUTO PRESET ” appears.
– When tuning is completed, this DVD receiver starts play
the last tuned station.
– If no valid frequency is detected during Plug and Play,
“CHECK ANTENNA” appears.
To cancel the installation
Before installation is completed, press s.
