To lock the keypad

To protect your phone from accidental keypresses when a call is not in
progress, press
left and hold.
To unlock the keypad

To use a shortcut key
Three shortcut keys are automatically programmed into your phone. You
can set up the fourth shortcut key yourself by following the steps in “To
create a shortcut key.” To use a shortcut key from the home screen, do the
following:

Press
right and hold to silence all sounds (see “” on page 58).
•
Press
down to view the Contacts list.
•
Press
left and hold to lock the keypad.
•
Press
up to access a predefined shortcut key (see “To create a
shortcut key,” ).
