This section includes drawings of the important phone

Sliding Earpiece
The earpiece moves up and down. It must be up to
use any of the phone’s features including making
calls. When the earpiece is down, the keypad is
locked and you will see a lock icon. You will hear the
phone ring (if the phone is on) but must raise the
earpiece to answer the call.

This feature allows you to keep the phone on, and in
your pocket or brief case, without accidently
pressing any keys. The earpiece must be up to turn
off the phone.
