The roadway part of the screen is used to illustrate the sensor’s position relative to the stop
bar; the controls on the right side of the screen allow you to specify the direction of traffic
to be monitored and the sensor’s position. The distance units are displayed in the bottom-
right corner of the screen.
The OK button saves the settings to the sensor; the Undo button restores the settings to the
screen’s initial values; and the Cancel button closes the screen without saving changes to
the sensor.
Changing the Traffic Direction
The SmartSensor Advance can be configured to detect traffic moving towards or away from
the sensor, but will not detect stationary vehicles.
The arrow displayed on the roadway represents the direction of traffic flow being detected

button is clicked, and always points in the opposite direction as the arrow on the roadway.

stop bar).
