4. Side Vents: Crossbow style vents are easy
to deploy from inside the tent. Located on both
sides of the tent for cross-flow ventilation, these
waterproof vents can stay open even in the most
driving rain. They also provide functional shelves
for stowing small items.
5. Rear Vents: Morpho 1P’s expansive rear vent adds
a feeling of openness to the tent and maximizes air
circulation. Since the vent is mesh on the outside,
it is easily adjustable from the inside to deal with
changing weather conditions. Even if it’s raining,
you can zip the vent shut but still use the small strut
at the top to make a rainproof opening.
6. UVX Window: The vestibule includes a UVX
window so you can check conditions outside
without exposing your gear to the elements.
The window is optically clear, non-yellowing,
non-clouding, UV resistant, and remains flexible
in cold temperatures.
7. OSMO™: Revised for 2010, NEMO’s improved
waterproof/breathable fabric, OSMO™, continues to
set the standard for breathability in single wall tents.
The new OSMO™ is a 40D ripstop polyester with a
hydrophobic microporous PU coating. The polyester
is naturally UV-resistant and doesn’t sag when
wet. OSMO™ is highly durable, chemical-resistant,
lightweight, and abrasion-resistant.
8. Watertight Compression Sack: Many of the
NEMO tents include watertight dry bags, including
Morpho 1P™. Having your tent in a watertight stuff
sack means it won’t take on water weight if it’s
in your backpack while you’re hiking in the rain,
or if it’s in your kayak when you roll your boat.
Alternatively, if you have to pack your tent wet,
it will help keep the rest of the gear in your pack dry.
