This chapter describes the front panel display, the rear panel, and LED indicators of the
DES-1016D.

Front Panel

The front panel of the Switch consists of an LED indicator for Power and three indicators for each
port. The LEDs are arranged in three rows, each row containing sixteen indicators (one for each
port). The LED indicator functions are described below.

Rear Panel

The rear panel contains the AC power connector, sixteen crossed RJ-45 ports (MDI-X 10/100
Ethernet UTP ports) and one uplink port (MDI-II Ethernet UTP port). The AC power connector is
a standard three-pronged connector that supports the power cord. Plug-in the female connector of
the provided power cord into this socket, and the male side of the cord into a power outlet.
Supported input voltages range from 100 ~ 240 VAC at 50 ~ 60 Hz with a maximum of 0.5A.
