BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE
Carefully unpack your percolator and remove ail packaging maieriai. Remove any
labels from the body of the percolator. You may wipe the unit with a clean, damp
cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the percolator in water or other liquid.
To remove any dust that may have accumulated on the removable parts during packag
ing, wash the inside of the percolator, lid, spreader basket and pump tube with warm,
soapy water.
Do not immerse the percolator. Simply rinse it out and wipe with a
cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Rinse and dry.
Do not wash in the dish
washer. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleansers.
NOTE:
We recommend that prior to percolating your first pot of coffee, you “perc”
cold water only, without ground coffee. This will remove any dust that may have
settled inside the coffeemaker.
IMPORTANT:
Use cold water only. The automatic percolating system works best
with cold water.
USING YOUR PERCOLATOR
1. Place your percolator on a flat, level surface, such as a countertop, well back from
the edge. Plug the unit into a 120V/60Hz AC only outlet (typical outlet found in kitchen
or on electric stove).
2. Remove Lid, Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube. Use cold, fresh tap water to fill
percolator. Fill according to markings on inside of percolator for number of cups
desired. Use cold tap water. The automatic brewing cycle is timed to begin with a
cold water start.
3. Wet the basket to help keep small particles of coffee from sifting through. Place
basket on pump tube. Add desired amout of regular or percolator ground coffee.
NOTE:
We recommend using coffee ground specifically for percolators. Percolator
specific coffee grounds are larger in size so they do not pass through the holes in the
basket during the brewing process. After using your percolator a few times you may
adjust the amount of coffee to suit your own taste.
