pulled up against the boat. Take a 3/4" wrench and tighten collar
firmly. The brake and pusher will fall into place. Screw the handle
down until you feel a slight resistance and stop. Back the handle
off, place two or three drops of oil on the threads inside the handle,
then tighten and loosen the handle few times to break-in the
threads. Do not get oil on the brake. The installation is completed.
SAFETY FEATURES TO OBSERVE IN OPERATING ANCHOR
REIN AS A BOAT REIN:
1. When untying the unit from a dock or tie-down, DO NOT
release the D-ring end and allow the rope to free-spool to the
handle. Hold to the D-ring and return the rope to the handle.
2. When tying-up your boat for extended periods of time, or as
an added precautionary and safety measure, throw a single
hand-hitch, with the rope, over the handle and draw tight.
This will assure you of a safer tie-down until your return.
3. One of the characteristics of nylon rope is that it stretches
some with use, especially when wet. If the bead does not
return completely to the handle, it is not the spring losing its
strength but rather the rope that has stretched. DO NOT cut
off rope, allow it to dry a few hours and it will return to the spool.
METHOD FOR ATTACHING ANCHOR REIN ROPE
TO ANCHOR:
1. Pull out enough rope to make a six inch loop.
2. Stick loop through eye of anchor.
3. Drop head/D-ring assembly through loop.
4. Draw loop tight. Your anchor is secured.
5. Reverse procedure to remove anchor from rope.
