Adjustments
Marker Width
Refer to Figure 40
You will need to adjust marker width to account for
your row spacing. First determine the correct
marker width from the table and diagram on these
pages, then adjust the marker to the correct width.
Finally, check the actual marker width in the field
and make further adjustments as necessary.
To adjust marker width, loosen jam nuts (1) and
1/2-inch set screws (2). Move marker disk tube (3)
in or out to get the proper dimension.
To check that the marker is adjusted to the correct
width, lower drill in the field and drive forward a
few feet. Measure from the middle of the outside
row to the mark in the ground made by the marker
disk. The measurement should match those
shown in the diagrams. Make further adjustments
as necessary.
The diagram below shows marker width for 7 1/2-
inch, 10-inch and 15-inch opener spacing with all
meters open.
